J.M. Barrie

James Matthew Barrie

Author, playwrite & creator of the boy who wouldn't grow up, Peter Pan.

Barries inspiration behind the popular chidren's story was found when meeting the Llewelyn Davies family in Kensington Gardens where a bronze statue of Peter Pan now stands.

Barrie's love of children and their well being, lead him to generously give the copyright ownership of Peter Pan to Great Ormond Street children's hospital in 1929.
